A new study by Forth, a Chepstow based healthcare company, about the challenges faced by women found that across the UK, 69% of respondents answered “Yes” to the question “Do you think women face discrimination in the workplace due to menopause?”

It is never our ambition to tear men down, or to give women advantages that create disadvantages for men. Our goal is simple, and that is to build a system that is fair and inclusive, and from which gender balance naturally emerges. Moving in this direction isn’t just good for women. It benefits everyone.

Yorkshire Day - You may know that today is Yorkshire Day, but did you know that the 1st of August was chosen because this is when the slavery abolition act 1833 was passed? 

Flexible working is key for attracting new talent and it’s proven that flexible work practices reduce employee turnover.

Many organizations are having to look outside the box to find professionals with the latest skills, seeking creative ways to retain employees, and many are missing the opportunities that Returnships bring.

Keeping in Touch (KIT) days provide an opportunity for employees on maternity leave to stay connected with their workplace and colleagues.

When it comes to improving the gender-balance in the rail industry, no-one could say there are not enough initiatives happening, great ideas being implemented, and specialist development opportunities happening for women. It doesn’t matter how impressive the list, or the take-up numbers, or the positive feedback, or even if you feel like you are doing the right things; if you’re not getting the right results or you don’t know what results you are looking for, then you could be a ‘Busy Fool’!
